Columbia, Missouri Car Accident Lawyers
Aggressive auto accident attorneys serving Missouri
Every day thousands of people crowd onto the busy roadways of Missouri. But no matter how safely you may drive, there are always aggressive, inconsiderate and inattentive drivers that can put your life at risk. You have seen them before — the woman applying her make-up in traffic, the teenager texting with his eyes off the road, and the drunk drivers swerving back and forth between lanes.
If you or a loved one has been injured in a car accident due to these people’s actions, the law office of Eng & Woods in Columbia can hold them accountable for their actions and pursue compensation for your injuries in court.

We treat our clients with individuality and respect, assuring that they are informed, aware and involved with their case. While you recover from your injuries, we deal directly with insurance companies in settlement negotiations to secure compensation for medical expenses, lost wages, loss of earning capacity, pain and suffering, disability, disfigurement and emotional distress. You can trust that we will work tirelessly to get the results you deserve.
What you should do after a car accident
First and foremost, you need to concentrate on getting better. Make sure that you attend all doctors' appointments and follow all medical orders.
Second, you should try to obtain the other driver’s insurance information. This will save you or your lawyer time and trouble later by not having to track down that information. Often, the law enforcement officer responding to the scene will get this information but you should make sure that you have that information one way or another.
Third, if you are physically able, take photographs of your vehicle and the accident scene. If you are not physically able, see if a family member or friend can do this for you. If you are unable to do this at the time of the accident, try to do it within several days of the accident. Also, write down any remarks or statements made to you by the other driver. This will help you remember exactly what the other driver said to you should it become an issue later. Sometimes, a driver may admit fault at the scene but later change his or her position. You should also write down the name, address and phone number of any witnesses to the accident. Even though the police officer at the scene will generally do this, the officers are very busy and accident scenes are very chaotic, and from time to time they may miss a witness. After the accident, you can also request a crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol website.
